The West Palm Beach Housing Authority is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Accounting Manager. The individual in this position performs a wide variety of accounting, analytical, and reporting functions. Familiarity with HUD accounting procedures necessary for administering and managing Public Housing, Section 8/HCV, Affordable Housing Programs, and strong knowledge of reporting and accounting standards for Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) entities is essential. Professional accounting experience in a government organization or company having a gross income (or budget) of over twenty-five million dollars per year is preferred.
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, and five years’ experience in accounting in a computerized accounting environment or any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work of an Accounting Manager.
