NSPIRE was initially announced as a proposed new REAC inspection model in January of 2019 at the 1st listening HUD-REAC session in Philadelphia. Here we are in July of 2024 and the new NSPIRE model is fully operational for Public and Multifamily housing. We have experienced the 1st year from NSPIRE. In this on-hands workshop attendees will see how these experiences affect them at their properties. They will learn how to handle in advance a variety of serious situations that can result from the REAC inspection. Although the NSPIRE standards are presumed to be the same for PH or HCV inspections, there are real differences. The October 1, 2024 extended implementation date is looming. APC has developed specific HCV elements of the NSPIRE training that focus on these items. By following APC NSPIRE prescription high scores can be obtained. There will be many Actions and Take-Aways provided in the workshop.
